Earl Grey Proper Tea Bags 40pk: Less is more with this one. Rather than a hot cup of perfume (thanks to using bergamot oil rather than flavour granules) this tea isn't going to blast you with bergamot - it's more subtle, giving the tea a chance to stand up to the citrus.
Tasting Guide: Light. Fragrant and Citrusy.
All about Earl Grey:
Our bright, woody Ceylon tea is infused with bergamot oil and blended with orange peel, for a drink that’s light and citrussy. Delicious with a dash of milk or a slice of lemon.
Ceylon Black Tea, Orange Peel, Bergamot Oil, Marigold Petals.
Origin: From Sri Lanka.
We love Earl Grey with a thick vanilla cheesecake. It emphasises the citrus notes beautifully. Perfection!
For tea drinkers.
Whether it's a strong and milky morning cup, or a punchy iced tea, brewing with rolled whole leaves gives you a smoother, deeper, richer taste. It’s never ‘just’ a cup of tea. And it's never been simpler. Sourced from Farms we Know. Tea grows in loads of places, but the taste can be completely different. Strange then that often the ingredients just say "100% Tea". Obvious, right? We choose origins and farms that achieve just the right taste for each blend and we put them right there on the pack.
Brewing Tip:
Your tea will start tasting bitter if it’s left to brew for too long. If you fancy a stronger cup, add some more tea leaves. Store in a cool place. Please don’t squeeze the tea bag with a spoon, the liquid that remains inside the tea bag has higher instances of tannic acid than what is able to seep out of the bag on its own. By squeezing the tea bag you, inadvertently release higher levels of tannic acid that necessary in to your tea & in turn create a far more bitter, sour and acidic cup of tea whatever brand you use!
