Spring Onions are a smaller variant of onions that are equally delicious and can be eaten raw or cooked. They are very young onions, harvested before the bulb has had a chance to swell and have a similar flavour to onions, but are much milder.
Our fruit and vegetables come from the locally sourced The Green Berry, with organic produce that are more environmentally friendly than our supermarket counterparts, and a lot tastier too. We choose this way because of our duty to nature, and how we need to succeed in helping the planet become a greener and more efficient place for everyone.
Trim off the very base of the root and an inch or two from the green tops. The bulb area can be eaten raw or cooked but the tops are best when chopped and added to a dish just before serving. Store in the fridge for 4-5 days.
