The Real Olive Company - Provencal Olives 210g
With its warm Mediterranean climate and rugged landscape, Provence has been a centre of olive production since the ancient Greeks first colonised the coast over 2,500 years ago. Over the centuries a unique Provencal cuisine evolved, combining olives with garlic and aromatic herbs such as oregano, rosemary and thyme: a cuisine perfectly encapsulated in these fragrant, garlic-stuffed green olives. Succulent morsels of red pepper add a burst of colour and sweetness.
The Real Olive Company was founded in Bristol by Karin Andersson and Ben Flight in 1998. From the start, they have always shared a deep-rooted philosophy & values that guide them through life; with a mission to create sustainable, delicious food, bursting with natural vitality. We are proud to stock their products at the Green Berry & bring you the very best Olives to market.
Specialising in Organic, fresh olives & Antipasti, all Olives are sourced olives trusted artisan growers on the shores of the Mediterranean. Real people who understand the unhurried rhythms of the olive tree. From grove to the table, every step is taken to retain each olive’s natural goodness. After being hand-picked, they are prepared, marinated and packed using time-honoured recipes and cold-pressed oils so you can enjoy the freshest, most authentic Olives bursting with Mediterranean sunshine.
Staying true to their roots is at the very core of The Real Olive Company; it’s about building time served relationships with designated farmers and growers, & about how we value and respect this hardworking team and how we understand and communicate with our customers.
Karin and Ben have established a network of organic growers around the Mediterranean coast, in Greece, Italy, France, Morocco and Spain. Working with small scale, independent, artisan and organic farmers, they know exactly where their olives come from, sun-kissed groves which remain a haven for wildflowers, insects and birds, as they have been for centuries.
