With a sweet, earthy flavour, tender Swedes are perfect if you love getting adventurous with your cooking. There’s an endless amount of ways to cook swede, whether you like them roasted, boiled, mashed or fried. Season them up however you want and enjoy as a side, or even a main.
Our fruit and vegetables come from the locally sourced The Green Berry. The organic produce is far more environmentally friendly than our supermarket counterparts, and a lot tastier too! We choose this way because we have a duty to succeed in helping the planet become a greener and more efficient place for everyone.
Storage and Preparation:
In a cool, slightly damp place out of direct sunlight (like a root cellar if you're lucky enough to have one, or a box of slightly moist sand if you're not) unwashed swedes will keep for several months. Avoid putting the 'roots' in the fridge, but the greens will chill for a couple of days. Remember to wash all fruits & veggies before eating.
