With a satisfying crunch and a delicious flavour, this version of the average broccoli is far more fun and flavoursome for your meals. The stem is the most nutritious part, so why not have more stem than buds for an extra dose of all-important nutrients. This veg offers a variety of possibilities, throw some in a succulent stir fry, add to a fresh salad for some extra crunch or use as a delicious side to your Sunday roast.
Our fruit and vegetables come from the locally sourced The Green Berry. The organic produce is far more environmentally friendly than our supermarket counterparts, and a lot tastier too! We choose this way because we have a duty to succeed in helping the planet become a greener and more efficient place for everyone.
Freshly cut broccoli is sweet and tender enough to be eaten and enjoyed raw. Simply break the vegetable off into its natural florets. To cook the broccoli stem, break up the florets and briefly boil in a small amount of water. Alternatively you can steam the vegetable after carefully breaking it up. Although many people discard the stem, this can be eaten too. Simply slice it thinly and boil with the rest of the broccoli. Store broccoli wrapped in the fridge. You should use broccoli as fresh as possible, but it will keep for a minimum of three days when refrigerated. Suitable for home freezing.
Remember to wash all fruits & veggies before eating.
