Turnips are another British favourite and all for good reason. When roasted, the slight sharpness of this unique vegetable mellow out and transform into an irresistible side. They go perfectly with carrots for a little vegetable medley, or simply on their own with some succulent roast chicken.
Our fruit and vegetables come from the locally sourced The Green Berry. The organic produce is far more environmentally friendly than our supermarket counterparts, and a lot tastier too! We choose this way because we have a duty to succeed in helping the planet become a greener and more efficient place for everyone.
Store turnips in a cold moist place as near to freezing as possible without actual freezing, 32°-40°F (0°-4°C) and 95 per cent relative humidity. Store turnips wrapped in a moist cloth or a paper towel placed in a perforated plastic bag in the vegetable crisper drawer of the refrigerator. Turnips will keep in the refrigerator for 4 to 5 months.
Remember to wash all fruits & veggies before eating.
